Prompting Guide for AI Voices

Control how the AI speaks your text.

You can guide the AI's delivery by adding simple instructions within your text. This allows you to control the tone, pace, emotion, and even add sound effects. The primary way to do this is by using parentheses () or colons :.

1. Using Parentheses for Style

Place instructions inside parentheses before the text you want to affect. The AI will understand this as a directorial note and will not speak the instruction itself.

Example:

(Speaking quickly and excitedly) This is absolutely incredible!

Result:

The AI will read "This is absolutely incredible!" in a fast and excited tone.

2. Using Colons for Narration Style

You can also use a colon to set the style for the following sentence. This is great for narration or defining a character's tone.

Example:

Say in a sad, quiet voice: I don't think I can make it.

Result:

The AI will say "I don't think I can make it" in a sad and quiet manner.

3. Adding Pauses and Sound Effects

You can instruct the AI to pause or even add simple, non-verbal sounds to make the audio more dynamic.

Example:

Wait for it... (drumroll) ...and the winner is... (pause for 2 seconds) ...you!

Result:

The AI will read the text, perform a drumroll sound effect, and pause for two seconds at the appropriate moments.
